1996 MacHack Sponsors
MacHack does not exist in a vacuum. A large number of companies provide
some form of sponsorship both large, and small. Without these efforts, MacHack
wouldn't be the great conference that it is today.
- Aladdin Systems will be providing pizza on Wednesday night to start the conference off right. They will also be making copies of InstallerMaker available for use in packaging up your hacks.
- Apple Computer, Inc's Mac OS 8 and Component Technologies Evangelism teams have
sponsored the Macs in our machine room, engineering staff representing nearly
all of Apple's technologies, as well as conference bags and coffee mugs to keep
us going all night long.
- APS Technologies, will be providing hard drives, SyQuest drives, CD-ROM drives, memory, and other products to help keep the machine room running.
- ARDI, will be providing a couple of WinTel computers for the machine room, but don't worry, ARDI is going to show Executor 2, their Macintosh Emulator on them.
- Be, Inc, will be providing
BeBoxes for the machine room this year.
- Berkeley Macintosh Users Group (BMUG) will be providing equipment, CDs and books.
- DayStar, Inc, will be providing Genesis MP Macs, and multiprocessor cards for the machine room this year.
- Farallon, will be providing Ethernet hubs, Ethernet transceivers, PhoneNET connectors, and other products to help keep the network running.
- Jasik Designs, will be making
copies of "The Debugger" available on Macs in the machine room
to assist people in writting their winning hacks.
- The MacHax(TM) Group, hosts of the
MacHack Hack contest.
- The Mac Group,
hosts of the MacHack Web Site.
- Metrowerks will be providing T-Shirts and stress balls for all attendees. In addition they will be making copies of CodeWarrior Gold available on all the Macs in the machine room, to help write that winning hack.
- Natural Intelligence
will be providing pizza the night of the hack contest, and is making
Roaster
available on all of the Macs in the machine room.
- Symantec will be providing Pizza on Thursday night, and is making copies of the Symantec C++ and Java IDEs available on all the Macs in the machine room, to help write that winning hack.
- Tribe Computer Works will be providing TribeStarIP packet switching LocalTalk to Ethernet bridges.
- User Group Connection (UGC) will be providing projection equipment.
- Xplain Corp., publishers of
MacTech(tm) Magazine and the parent
company of
Developer Depot(tm), is sponsoring
the Ice Cream Social
and is providing a FREE copy of MacTech Magazine to every attendee.
- Zocalo will be providing connectivity to the Internet AppleTalk Cloud for the machine room.
