With a 21-year career at Apple, Chris Espinosa is the senior employee of the corporation. Joining Apple at age 14, he worked in the fabled garage in Apple's early days, doing pre-introduction testing and documentation of the Apple II. He specialized in technical documentation, writing the principal user and programmer manuals for the Apple II and Apple III, and forming the User Education group for the Macintosh project. After the shipment of Macintosh, Chris moved to Product Marketing, and was responsible for the product introductions of Macintosh system software from version 3.0 through 7.0, as well as for HyperCard. After a short stint in Business Development managing the corporate relationship between Apple and the IBM joint ventures Taligent and Kaleida, Chris moved into the Engineering organization to lead the Media Tools team.
Recently Chris has been the engineering champion for scripting at Apple, managing AppleScript updates for Mac OS 8 and future OSes.
Chris attended the University of California, and has been a regular columnist for MacUser and MacTech magazines.
